Professional tour director for groups and individuals in Europe for 30+ years, national licensed guide in all if France. Fluent in five languages. M.A. from the University if Paris La Sorbonne.
I have worked with the same group of people for many years and totally recommend them. (i.e. local guides and drivers.)
Yes, my daughter lives permanently in Paris and can always help. I am available 24/7 by email wherever I may be.
In major cities such as Paris, London and Rome where traffic makes a difference on the taxi meter I have reliable shuttles for a fixed price without charging extra for baggage as is common with commercial taxis. Some cities such as Florence and Venice the airports are close to the city and you have other possibilities.
Use the ATM machines which require a pin number. Do not bring travelers checks, they are a thing of the past.
Please tell your bank you are traveling to Europe so they do not stop your card once you are there as they think it is fraud when they see a transaction from a foreign country.
You can either give me a flat rate for all my advice and help and I will give you contacts to do on your own (if you are good on the internet and calling Europe) or I can do the reservations for you and then we can work out a price.
Too expensive but I can tell you how to phone if you cannot have a vacation away from the phone.
Expect the unexpected!! Leave room for surprises. Travel is cheaper than therapy!
